HayWrap, the tractor powered attachment to lift and turn big round bales, will let you wrap each bale quick and easy with cling/stretch plastic film. With each bale securely wrapped in plastic, you will feed hay or balage next winter that is as good as the day you baled it !
Weatherproofs any size or shape round bale.....skin tight ! Protects ends of bale also, special wrapping technique lets you bring plastic over the edge of bale (about 12 inches). Wrap up to 40 bales per hour. Prevents ground water from entering the bale. HayWrap your bales and your cows will get at least 25% more feed value from your hay crop.

To start the 35 second wrapping procedure, insert the end of the plastic under the plastic twine at one end of the bale. The start, stop, speed control, position of the plastic roll and plastic tension adjustment are all controlled by one person wrapping the bale. This can be a one person, and a one tractor operation. If the tractor is big enough to pick up the bale, it is big enough to run the HayWrap machine.
As the bale rotates, move the plastic roll from one end of the bale to the other, overlapping to put down two layers of plastic on dry bales and four layers on balage. The plastic stretches 150 % to discourage hay stems from poking through and it will conform perfectly to the shape of the bale to expel all air pockets. The plastic is treated to repel rodents. Wrap tough hay 17 % to 30 % with 3 to 4 layers of plastic and bring the plastic down over the ends of the bale about 10 to 12 inches and jam the bales together like the balage bales below. This will minimize the heating of the tough hay by shutting out the oxygen.

Bring the silage bales in with your regular bale mover and place them in a tight row. Spear the bales with the HayWrap machine, apply plastic (4 layers ). Place in the storage row with the HayWrap machine and RAM them very tightly together. This will expel any air and form a super tight seal. The only bales showing any hay are the first and last bales in the row.
It takes less than 35 seconds to put plastic (4 layers) on the balage. Place the bale on the end of the row and then pullout about 4 feet, put the tractor in reverse and hit the bale as hard as you can. This impact forces the other to seal even tighter, creating an airtight seal!
Here the end bale in a long row of Balage is being sealed. This takes about 5 to 7 minutes per end bale. All the bales between the two end bales are not covered in this manner. They are sealed by ramming each bale, causing the 10 to 12 inches of plastic on the end of each bale to seal air tight!

Hay Wrap works all year for you! Unrolling bales is as simple as removing the strings and plastic cover and then spinning the bale apart.Works great for bedding too.

The HayWrap low cost method for making balage (university test proven to be up to $4.44 less per bale than the total wrap system!) is catching on fast with cost-conscious farmers. By baling between 30 % and75% moisture you can make perfect balage and best of all eliminate the weather worries associated with trying to make dry hay. In 1990 and 1991 Michigan State University ran an extensive test comparing the economics of three systems of doing round balage. HayWrap Inc. came in first place; beating the second place company, a popular "total wrap" machine by $ 4.44 per bale!! ( This is based on labor, depreciation, plastic, and quality of balage at the end of the test.) When wrapping "balage" with the Hay Wrap machine at the rate of 20 bales per hour you would save $88.80 per hour!
At last, a research proven, economical bale wrapping machine that DOES IT ALL! The versatile HayWrap machine not only wraps highly nutritious balage bales, it wraps dry hay bales and can transport and unroll your hay, balage, or bedding bales!
HayWrap can weatherproof dry bales for around $1.50 per bale and balage bales for $2.75 to $3.50 per bale, depending on the size of the bale. Under average conditions, the 100 gauge plastic may repel rain and snow for a year or more, if used as recommended.
Warranty: 10 year/20,000 bale warranty on the main spear and bearings. 5 year/10,000 bale warranty on the rest of the machine.
